Citizenship, residence & offshore consultation One hour with a specialist. Your options, mapped.
A 60-minute video orientation session for people who are ready to act: second citizenship, residence, company formation, bank accounts or licensing. You answer a few questions when you book, we prepare before the call, and the hour goes to the options that fit your situation. It is general information from practitioners, not legal, tax or investment advice.
Booking and card payment are handled by Cal.com and Stripe in a new tab. We never see your card details.
What the fee buys
What you get from the orientation session
A prepared specialist
We read your booking answers in advance and check which programmes, jurisdictions and banks are generally open to a profile like yours before we speak.
Minutes, one to one
A private video call with a specialist in your area. Ask anything: costs, timelines, documents, how the procedures work, banking, common obstacles.
A clear map on three fronts
Which routes are open to you, what they typically cost and how long they take, and what usually stops them, including source-of-funds questions.
A written recap
After the call you receive a short written recap of the options discussed and the practical next steps, so nothing depends on memory.
Your exact quote
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote for your specific file, with every fee listed, including those paid to governments and banks.
Days to have the fee credited
Sign your engagement with us within 30 days of the session and the full €199 is deducted from our professional fee.
How booking works
From booking to your plan in four steps

Tell us about your case when you book
A few short questions: what you want to achieve, where, how soon and your approximate budget. The more precise you are, the more useful the hour.

The scope
What the orientation session is, and what it is not
It is
- General information on citizenship and residence programmes, jurisdictions, banks and their procedures.
- Our practical experience of timelines, typical costs, documents and the obstacles files usually meet.
- A shortlist of routes worth checking for a profile like yours, and the order in which to check them.
- The next practical steps and, if you want, a quote for our services.
It is not
- Legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, or an opinion on your personal tax position.
- A lawyer–client or other advisory relationship. Any service starts only with a signed engagement letter.
- A promise that a government or a bank will approve you. They decide.
- A substitute for a licensed lawyer or tax adviser in the countries where you live, are a citizen or hold assets. We can introduce one.
Before acting on anything discussed, confirm it with a licensed adviser in each country concerned. When you book, you confirm that you have read this scope.
Is it for you?
Who should book, and who should not
Book if
- You intend to act in the coming months and want to choose the right route the first time.
- Your situation has a complication: several nationalities, a business abroad, a bank that refused you, funds that need explaining.
- You want a straight, independent overview of your options, not a sales call.
Skip it if
- You are only collecting general information. Our guides, the World Passport Index and our programme comparison are free and detailed.
- You only need a price for a standard service. Send us a short brief and we will reply with a quote at no cost.
- You need a legal opinion or tax advice on your personal position. That comes from a licensed lawyer or tax adviser, and we can introduce one.
Booking terms
The orientation session rules in plain words
Price per session
One fixed fee for 60 minutes, paid by card when you book. No extras are added for preparation or for the written recap.
Days for the credit
The fee is credited against our professional fee if you sign an engagement with us within 30 days of the session. It is not paid out in cash and cannot be transferred.
To reschedule
You can move your session to another slot up to 24 hours before its start time, using the link in your confirmation email.
Refunds on cancellation
The fee is not refunded if you cancel or miss the call, except where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to a refund.

FAQ
Orientation session questions, answered
Is the orientation session legal or tax advice? +
No. The session gives you general information and our practical experience of how programmes, jurisdictions and banks work. It is not legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, it is not an opinion on your personal tax position, and it does not create a lawyer–client or advisory relationship. Before you act, confirm your position with a licensed adviser in each country concerned; we can introduce one.
Why is the orientation session paid? +
Because it is real work: we prepare before the call and give you a full hour with a specialist, focused on your situation. Charging keeps the hour for people who intend to act. If you go on to work with us within 30 days, the fee is credited in full, so for our clients the session costs nothing extra.
Can I get a quote without booking a session? +
Yes. For a standard service, such as a company in a given jurisdiction or a bank account, send us a short brief and we reply within one business day with a quote at no cost. The paid session is for mapping the options in your situation.
Who will I speak to? +
A specialist in the area you choose when you book: citizenship and residence, company formation, banking or licensing.
Can I reschedule or cancel? +
You can reschedule up to 24 hours before the start time, through the link in your confirmation email. Later than that, or if you do not join the call, the session is considered held. Cancellations are not refunded, except where mandatory consumer law requires it.
What if I sign with you after more than 30 days? +
We are glad to work with you, but the €199 is no longer credited. The 30 days run from the date of the session to the date you sign the engagement.
Which languages are sessions held in? +
English and Romanian for now. Tell us your preferred language in the booking form.
How do I pay, and do I get an invoice? +
You pay by card on Cal.com, processed by Stripe, and receive a payment receipt by email. If you need an invoice with company details, write to office@thediscreetinvestor.com after booking.
Is the conversation confidential? +
Yes. What you tell us is used only to prepare the session and a quote. We handle your booking details as described in our Privacy Policy.
